Though they have long ceased to be of musical importance, there is no better rock and roll story than the story of the Rolling Stones. Drugs, sex, rock and roll, drugs, death, betrayal, triumph and......drugs. If you've never gotten into the story before, head over to the bookstore and pick up a book....most any one of them will do.
Did this guy EVER get any sleep? Mr. Baggy Eyes himself, Brian Jones. Though revered and worshipped by his fans, I always had the feeling that Mr. Jones probably was not a very pleasant personality to be around.
Brian with girlfriend Anita Pallenberg. She left Brian to be with Keith Richards, then she cheated on Keith with Mick Jagger. Probably the only reason she didn't sleep with the others is because Charlie Watts was married and Bill Wyman is a pedophile.
Anita was a great influence on the Stone's style though....probably none of our rock and rollers today would wear eyeliner if it wasn't for her.
Here is Keith Richards when he was only about 45% scary. As we all know, he's off the scale scary now: GAH!I've seen 85 year olds in better shape. Of course, Mr. Jagger hasn't really fared too much better: Mick back in the day.

Here is Mick Taylor, the totally underrated guitarist who came between the time of Brian Jones and Ron Wood. The Stones made their most important music when Mick Taylor was in the band. A coincidence you say? I think not.
Here is one of Mick Jagger's one hundred million ex-girlfriends, the angelic Marianne Faithfull. Who wasn't such an angel. Life was not very good to her after Mick.
So do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with the story of the Rolling Stones from about 1965 through 1975. The only things missing from the tale is a trailer park and incest.
